Friends of Camp Archbald
That’s right, you read that correctly. On July 29th, 2020 Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA (GSHPA) announced that Camp Archbald benchmarks have been reached and it will no longer be sold or drilled for oil. It will be part of a plan to ensure the future of the property is cared for and available for Girl Scouts and the community. Read SoCA’s official press release regarding GSHPA’s decision here

On June 4th, 2020 Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA have made the decision to not contract with Cabot Oil and Gas for fracking on the property of Camp Archbald. SoCA members are thrilled with this decision and you can read our official press release here.

Discover NEPA is a regional marketing initiative designed to promote NEPA as one of the country’s best places to live. They currently list events, stories and all the wonderful things happening in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Rotating all over NEPA until November 1st, 2020, the display showcases old photographs, camp guides, gear, post cards and more! The oldest item dates back to 1930!
