Archery badge workshops are now available for Brownie girls and older. The first hour is focused on the range structure, safety, materials, and labeling parts of the equipment. The remainder of the time will be hands-on practice with the bow and arrows or sling shots. With CDC guidelines, there can only be 3-6 girls at the range doing small group practice for 30 minute increments. The remainder of the troop will be involved in an activity led by the troop leaders. The total length of time will be dependent on the number of girls participating. Council guidelines, CDC guidelines and as always safety checkpoints will need to be followed. Pick your dates, then please send your troop roster with names, emergency contacts, leaders in charge and adults for safety ratio. Deadline for submission is 30 days prior for GSHPA.
The fee is $10 per Girl Scout with a minimum of five and a maximum of 25. Indicate the date and times for your workshop, with a rain date. Payment can be made on the SoCA website on the donate page. Choose archery workshop option for payment. Send your information to Daneece at 570-687-4778, firstname.lastname@example.org.
