Supporters of Camp Archbald (SoCA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that assures future Girl Scouts and community members will have access to the amazing opportunities and resources that Camp Archbald has to offer. This group consists of alumni of Camp Archbald and allies. We exist to ensure that Camp Archbald remains the beautiful and historic property it is today.

Camp Archbald was founded in 1920 to provide Girl Scouts with the opportunity to develop outdoor leadership skills. While the camp has fulfilled this mission for nearly 100 years, Camp Archbald has been placed under review for potential closure due to declining attendance. If camp were to close, scouts from Northeast Pennsylvania would face considerable challenges in attending camp. Moreover, scouts would be deprived of unique experiences and life-long friendships had at Camp Archbald.

To address these challenges, SoCA performs several major functions such as; publicizing the role of Camp Archbald in the local community, performing site maintenance, and running an all volunteer-run resident camp for scouts ages 6-18. By keeping Camp Archbald alive and thriving, SoCA is helping scouts build the skills needed to unleash their inner G.I.R.L (Go-Getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader).
