2024 Annual Report
Dearest Readers,
On behalf of Supporters of Camp Archbald, we are honored to present our 2024 annual report. The programs, services and accomplishments highlighted herein would not be possible without the support of our campers, supporters, friends and donors – which includes you!
Similar to last year, a majority of our focus during 2024 was on two major projects - our two-week overnight resident camp and Greenwood (we have officially entered Phase 3 of this renovation project)!
2024 also boasted some impressive numbers. We directly impacted more than 380 girls and adults via our various programs and events, including resident camp, and raised over $115,000 from event income and donations (restricted and unrestricted).
SoCA’s mission would not be accomplished without volunteers. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and this year spent a staggering 13,152 hours planning, facilitating, and showcasing their love and support for Camp Archbald. Whether it was preparing for resident camp, marketing our brand, facilitating events (including resident camp!), fundraising, spearheading workdays, tackling administrative tasks, holding meetings, planning activities, improving Greenwood or planning for the redesign and overhaul of Mariners – our volunteers did it all! Actually, there are 100’s of volunteers who support the mission of SoCA and believe in the future of Camp Archbald, however this past year, 40 individuals took it a step further. They received training and certification that now allows them to safely serve the girls and young adults who attend Camp Archbald. Whether it be archery, boating, waterfront, hiking, high and low ropes, backpacking or CPR/First Aid/AED certification our volunteers are dedicated to improving the all-girl experience at Camp Archbald!
And although 2024 was a rewarding and successful year, it was a tad bittersweet as we said goodbye to three of our founders and dedicated leaders. Nikki Morristell, Eileen Head and Gail Rees all completed their final terms on the SoCA Board of Directors. We are immensely thankful for their dedication, leadership and unwavering support. SoCA would not be the organization it is today without these three visionary ladies!
We cannot fully express what your support and investment mean to SoCA and the hundreds of thousands of girls and young adults who call Camp Archbald home. Thank you for making 2024 meaningful.
Firm and strong, united are we,
The 2024 SoCA Board of Directors
Nikki, Eileen, Kate, Gail, Merritt, Emily, Ann, Pat, Holly, Veronica and Jamie
